Water Lily

Found a nice water lily pond in Massey College Residence, on downtown campus of University of Toronto . Although tried different exposures with apeature priority, I still feel not dealing well with the exposure and the depth of field. A nice tripod will probably provide me easy control of the exposure time.

Photograph fall

Tried to shoot fall with water falling impression several times, and succeeded this time finally. Ithaca fall at Cornell University provided an ideal target: moderate amount of water falling; it was also a cloudy day so I had more choice to extend exposure time; and happened to have an tripod with me. After tried a few different combination, I shoot this one with 0.5s f/5.3 exposure at 95mm focal length of my 18-200mm Nikon VR lens.

Finger Lake Trip

It is going to be a very busy week, so I don't have much time to tidy up all the pictures from this trip immediately. I am going preview some of it on daily basis.

Cherry Blossom at High Park, Toronto

It was forecasted that it's going to rain in the night, so had a very short trip to High Park during lunch time. The sky is gray and most pictures were not focused well. But I still enjoy my unique view of the flowers and trees.

Cherry Blossom

Have be so impressed by the wonderful cherry blossom in Washington DC later year. Armed with D80, I am keeping looking around for similar experience. Kariya park, just north of Square One in Missisauga, is an Japanese garden, which should have beautiful cherry trees. Unfortunately, the park is so small and open, really don't have any Japanese garden feeling. There are a few cherry trees, but most of them not bloom yet. They do have two cherry trees around the pond and make a very picturisque view.

First Try to Make Photo as Painting

This is my first try to use Photoshop to do some fancy thing, which turns a regular picture into a picture like Chinese painting.
